Biography

Michael Scrivana is a Product Designer and Design Technologist who designs the systems humans and AI build on. His foundation is fine art — four years of drawing, painting, and sculpture at the Art Students League of New York, classically trained at the easel — followed by a design degree from William Paterson University. That hands-on craft shapes everything: how he thinks about materials, systems, and the lived experience of using a product.

Today his work lives at the intersection of design and technology — building tools and prototypes, and exploring what design becomes when you make things with AI rather than around it. He works end-to-end, from the first sketch of a problem to a working prototype. Underneath it all are eight years as a brand and product designer: brand identity, packaging, ecommerce, motion, and editorial.

His path here was anything but straight. He cooked for years as a chef in a Michelin-starred New York kitchen, studied anatomy alongside medical students — dissecting cadavers to understand the figure beneath the skin — and worked the technical side building healthcare diagnostic equipment. The common thread is a love of learning and a pull toward hard problems — wherever they happen to live.
